Ebru is an experienced lawyer with a particular specialism in transportation, insurance and commercial disputes as well as commodities and international trade. She has also a particular focus on ship finance and deals with the purchase of private and commercial yachts as well as all types of work with respect their financing structures. 

After spending 7 years in one of the leading Turkish law firms, she also worked as a claims handler/local correspondent on behalf of P&I Clubs for more than 4 years. 

Ebru has been advising P&I Clubs, owners, charterers, cargo interests and insurance companies with respect charter party and bills of lading disputes. She has an extensive experience in ship arrest matters, recourse actions and customs disputes. 

She is well experienced in handling of all types of P&I claims including major casualties as well as FD&D disputes. She has assisted P&I Clubs, H&M insurers, owners and managers with respect groundings, collisions, environmental pollution and customs disputes. Her experience also includes dispute resolution with respect all disputes with crew members arising from employment contracts including occupational injuries and diseases.

In addition to her qualification an experience as a lawyer, Ebru is also registered as a mediator with the Mediation Department of the Ministry of Justice and she has been working as a mediator with a specialization in commercial law and labor law since 2017. 

Ebru is a graduate of Koc University and holds an LL.M. degree in Business Law at Istanbul Bilgi University. She has written her dissertation under the title of “Direct Action against P & I Clubs in Turkey”. She is a member of Istanbul Bar Association since 2010. She speaks Turkish, English and German.
